Jacquemus has unveiled a new collaboration with Nike and the French Football Federation, reinterpreting the visual identity of the French national team through the lens of founder Simon Porte Jacquemus. The timing is deliberate: the FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off on June 11th, with France playing its first match against Senegal on June 16th. On that same day, the collection goes on sale. Simon Porte Jacquemus said: “In France, football is more than a sport. It lives in the everyday moments and has always been part of my life. Working with the French national team means representing a country, a culture, and unforgettable moments. It means the world to me.”

The Origin Story

The collection draws from a vintage navy Nike tracksuit jacket that Jacquemus wore as a child growing up in the South of France. That personal reference does what Jacquemus always does: grounds a commercial project in autobiography so it reads as genuine rather than manufactured. “From this memory emerges a wardrobe that revisits the nostalgia of 1990s football culture through clean lines, pure proportions and an unmistakably French elegance,” the house said. The designer moves away from the technical materials typically associated with sportswear in favour of natural and man-made fabrics more in keeping with his ready-to-wear sensibility.

The Collection

The hero piece is a pre-match jersey, a deep royal blue base with fine red and white vertical pinstripes, bearing the FFF Gallic rooster, two stars, the Jacquemus logo, and the Nike Swoosh side by side on the chest. The capsule also includes apparel, accessories, and a Cryoshot sneaker developed in partnership with the FFF, a reinterpretation of the Tiempo R10 from 2005, the boot made for Ronaldinho, in a white colourway with red and blue encased studs. Mbappé, Thuram, Tchouaméni, Dembélé, and Doué all appear in the campaign. The collection launches June 11th through Nike’s distribution network.
