Amid the highly competitive Ramadan 2027 TV season, Egyptian actor Youssef El Sherif is preparing to join the lineup with a new series titled Al Zill.
Producer Maha Selim, through her production company Forever Media, announced that she has signed El Sherif for the series, marking their first artistic collaboration.
The production team is currently finalizing contracts with the rest of the cast, ahead of filming, which is set to begin in the coming period.
The series unfolds within a suspenseful and thrilling framework and will consist of 15 episodes. It is based on a story by screenwriter Ahmed Abdel Fattah, with the screenplay and dialogue written by Amr Samir Atef.
Youssef El Sherif’s latest television project is Fan El Harb, which aired during Ramadan 2026.
The 30-episode series combined action and adventure, following the character Ziad, played by El Sherif, who rejects joining his father’s business empire in pursuit of his passion for acting.
However, his life takes an unexpected turn after his father is imprisoned and later dies. Ziad then embarks on a journey of revenge to recover the stolen money and restore his family’s name, relying on his talent and a group of people along the way as the story unfolds.
The series also starred Reem Mostafa, Sherine Adel, Mohamed Gomaa, Islam Ibrahim, and Donia Sami. It was written by Amr Samir Atef, Khaled Abu Bakr, and a number of other writers, and directed by Mahmoud Abdel Tawab.
Milano: Youssef El Sherif Returns to Cinema After Eight Years
In a separate project, Youssef El Sherif recently announced his upcoming cinematic venture, a film titled Milano, marking his return to the big screen after an eight-year absence since his last film, Bani Adam.
The film features an ensemble cast, including Bassem Samra, Dorra Zarrouk, Amr Abdel Galil, Hamdy El Merghany, and Mostafa Abu Saree. It is written by Hisham Hilal and directed by Mohamed Salama.
