In an exceptional evening filled with celebratory moments honoring this year’s winners and distinguished honorees, the 26th edition of the Murex d’Or Awards took place on Saturday at Casino du Liban. The ceremony celebrated the year’s finest achievements across acting, music and singing, while also honoring the remarkable careers of several leading stars. The evening was hosted by Syrian actor Motasem Al Nahar and Lebanese presenter Maya Aboul Hosn.

This year’s Murex d’Or Awards celebrated the remarkable careers of several prominent names across the Arab entertainment industry. Lebanese singer Mary Sleiman was honored for her outstanding career, while Egyptian actress Laila Eloui was recognized for her longstanding artistic journey.

Lebanese actor and director George Chalhoub was also honored for his distinguished career, alongside actor and director Joe Kaddih for his contributions to Lebanese theatre. Actor and director Munir Maassri received an honorary recognition for his career, while musician Joudok was celebrated for his contribution to international music.

The ceremony also paid tribute to Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama, celebrating four decades of success and artistic longevity. Expressing his happiness at the honor, Alama brought the evening to life with a selection of his beloved hits, drawing enthusiastic reactions from the stars in attendance.

The drama categories witnessed fierce competition among some of the Arab entertainment industry’s most prominent stars, following their notable success throughout 2026. The winners included:

Syrian actor Taim Hassan won the Murex d’Or for Best Syrian Arab Actor in Syrian Drama for his role in Moulana.

Actor Qusai Khouli received the award for Best Syrian Arab Actor in Arab Co-Production Drama for Bikhams Arwah, while Egyptian actor Amr Saad won Best Egyptian Arab Actor in Egyptian Drama for Efrag.

In a surprise moment during his hosting duties on stage, Syrian actor Motasem Al Nahar was announced as the winner of the Audience Choice Award for his role in Loubie Al Gharam.

Lebanese actor Bassem Moughnieh won the Murex d’Or for Best Lebanese Actor for his performance in Bel Haram, while actor Yorgo Chalhoub received the Excellence in Acting Award for his role in Al Mohafaza 15. Actor Joe Trad was honored as Best Lebanese Supporting Actor for Leil.

Lebanese actress and screenwriter Carine Rizkallah received the Murex d’Or for Best Screenplay and Acting Performance for Al Mohafaza 15, while director Joe Bou Eid won Best Lebanese Drama Director for Loubie Al Gharam.

The series Moulana, produced by Sadeq Al Sabbah, won the Murex d’Or for Best Syrian Arab Series, while Bel Haram, produced by Jamal Sinan, was named Best Lebanese Series.

Lebanese actress Carmen Bsaibes won the Murex d’Or for Best Lebanese Actress for her role in Leil. Meanwhile, actress Maguy Bou Ghosn was honored as the Most Influential Actress for Bel Haram, as well as for her theatrical performance in Muntazah Al Khairan.

Egyptian actress Mai Omar won the Murex d’Or for Best Egyptian Arab Actress in Drama for her role in Al Set Monalisa.

Lebanese actress Randa Kaady received the award for Best Lebanese Supporting Actress for Bel Haram, while Syrian actress Nancy Khoury won the Murex d’Or for Excellence in a Syrian Arab Actress in Arab Co-Production Drama for her portrayal of Salma in Moulana.

Lebanese actress and singer Marilyn Namaan received the Murex d’Or for Artistic Excellence, while Nadia Chalhoub was named Most Promising Lebanese Actress. Actress Jessie Abdo received the Excellence Award for her role in Loubie Al Gharam.

Farah Nakhoul, Ahmed Saad and Saif Nabeel Lead Murex d’Or Music Awards 2026

In the music categories, singer Farah Nakhoul won Best TV Series Theme Song for Loubie Al Gharam. Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad received the Murex d’Or for Arab Popular Star and Hit Song for his track Maksarat, while Lebanese singer Melhem Zein was named Lebanese Singing Star of the Year.

Egyptian singer Ramy Sabry won the Murex d’Or for Arab Singing Star, while Iraqi singer Saif Nabeel received the award for Best Arab Song for Ya Mahyoub. Singer Al Akhras was honored as the Best New Arab Artist.

The song Kazdoura by Abu Ward and Nassif Zeytoun won the Murex d’Or for Trending Song of the Year. Meanwhile, the award for Best Music Video went to Nancy Ajram’s Ya Albou, directed by Samir Siryani.
