BOSS Is Heading to the Australian Open – and Taylor Fritz Saw It Coming

Taylor Fritz reveals BOSS Australian Open partnership

It started with an upside-down headband. At the US Open quarterfinal in September 2025, Taylor Fritz walked onto the court in New York with his BOSS headband flipped, a small, odd detail that got a laugh from the tennis world and was quickly forgotten. Except, apparently, it was not accidental. BOSS has just confirmed it is the new Official Lifestyle Outfitter of the Australian Open, and Fritz, the brand’s ambassador, had been hinting at it all along.

Fritz teased the news on X on April 12th before posting on his Instagram Story with the now-infamous upside-down headband image and the caption: “Remember this? Kinda wild I’ve been trying to put you onto something since September…” BOSS followed with a joint post alongside the Australian Open, captioned: “From baseline to headline: BOSS is now the Official Lifestyle Outfitter of the Australian Open. January 2027. See you in Melbourne.”

The partnership kicks off with the 2027 tournament at Melbourne Park, running January 11–31. BOSS will dress up to 4,000 staff, officials, umpires, and ball kids, essentially reshaping the visual identity of one of the world’s most-watched Grand Slams from the ground up. Beyond the uniforms, the brand will also activate through on-site pop-up shopping experiences, tournament merchandise, and hospitality moments across the venue.

For BOSS, it is a significant move into the world of sport at the highest level. For the Australian Open, already known as the Happy Slam for its atmosphere, it is a partnership that brings a genuinely sharp aesthetic to a tournament that has always had personality. More details are expected later this year.
