Cairo is welcoming financial leaders and industry professionals from around the world this November. The city is hosting the 49th Interarab Cambist Association (ICA) Conference and Exhibition from November 5–7, 2026.
Held under the auspices of Hassan Abdalla, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, the conference brings together professionals from treasury, banking, and financial markets. This year’s theme is “Where Treasury, Markets and AI Shape the Future.”
The event is hosted by ACI Egypt and takes place at Giza Palace Hotel & Spa in Sheikh Zayed. It provides a platform for financial experts to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges, and explore new investment opportunities.

Three Days of Financial Discussions and Networking
The conference opens on November 5 with registration and an evening cocktail reception. However, the main conference and exhibition will take place on November 6 and 7.
The program features keynote addresses, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. It will bring together central bankers, treasury professionals, economists, investors, and representatives of financial institutions.
Moreover, the discussions will cover several issues shaping the global financial landscape. These include the global economic outlook, sovereign debt, fiscal pressures, and the future of the international monetary system.
Participants will also explore investment opportunities across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The sessions aim to examine how regional markets can respond to changing economic conditions.
Artificial Intelligence Takes Center Stage
Technology is another major focus of this year’s conference. As artificial intelligence continues to reshape financial services, experts will examine its growing role in treasury operations, trading, and asset management.
Additionally, discussions will explore digital assets, tokenization, stablecoins, and emerging forms of money. These developments are changing how financial institutions approach transactions, investments, and market infrastructure.
Energy and commodities will also feature in the discussions. Participants will examine changing global supply chains and their implications for financial markets.
Key Figures and Financial Institutions in Attendance
The conference brings together prominent figures from Egypt’s financial sector and international institutions. Confirmed speakers include Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and Central Bank Governor Hassan Abdalla.
Other speakers include Baroness Minouche Shafik, former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, and Ahmed Abdelaal, Group CEO of Mashreq. The program also features economists and financial experts from regional and international institutions.
Several major financial institutions are supporting the event. These include Banque Misr, National Bank of Egypt, Commercial International Bank, and Arab African International Bank. Mashreq and Murex are also among its partners.

Cairo’s Role in Regional Financial Conversations
The conference places Cairo at the center of important discussions about the future of financial markets. It also creates opportunities for regional and international professionals to exchange expertise and establish connections.
As financial markets face technological, economic, and geopolitical changes, collaboration remains increasingly important. The ICA’s 49th annual gathering offers a space to examine these developments and their potential impact.
Through its discussions and industry connections, the event aims to contribute to the continued development of financial markets across the region.
