Looking for something lighthearted to add to your watchlist? WATCH IT has just introduced its latest Original production, “Dafnino Sawa,” a comedy adventure that promises plenty of unexpected twists and amusing situations.
Starring Marwan Fares and Mostafa Lesha’a as Halawa and Mimi, the series follows two friends whose attempt to bury a treasure takes a rather unexpected turn. What begins as a seemingly simple mission soon spirals into a series of hilarious complications, leading the duo into one chaotic adventure after another.
With friendship at its heart and comedy driving the story, “Dafnino Sawa” offers a fun escape for viewers looking for an easygoing watch. And with every new twist, Halawa and Mimi’s little mission seems to become more complicated than they ever imagined.
The series consists of 10 episodes, with the first two now available exclusively on WATCH IT. Two new episodes will be released every Wednesday at 12 AM. All the more reason to look forward to midweek streaming.
Marwan Fares brings a background in theatre, stand-up comedy, and improvisation to the series. He has appeared in several Egyptian productions, including Souq El Kanto, Al Shanab, and 6 Shohour. His journey into acting also took an unconventional route, as he previously worked in software engineering before pursuing his passion for performance full-time.
His co-star, Mostafa Lesha’a, first explored acting through university theatre while studying at Ain Shams University. He later gained attention through comedy content on social media before making the move to television. One of his earlier screen appearances was in 6 Shohour, where he played Saad. Now, he reunites with Fares for Dafnino Sawa, with the two taking on leading roles as Mimi and Halawa.
