A new chapter of comedy and complicated family relationships is on the way as Focker-In-Law, starring Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, prepares to hit theaters in the US and Canada on November 25, followed by its Egyptian release on November 26.
The upcoming film marks the latest installment in the Meet the Parents franchise, bringing Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller back to their beloved roles as Jack Byrnes and Greg Focker, respectively.
Arriving more than a decade after the franchise’s last installment, Little Fockers, which was released in 2010, Focker-In-Law brings back several familiar faces from the previous films alongside a new generation of characters, once again placing the Focker family at the center of a series of unexpected situations.
Family Comedy and Complicated Relationships… The Story of Focker-In-Law
Set against a social comedy backdrop, Focker-In-Law introduces a new chapter in the hilarious dynamic between Greg Focker and Jack Byrnes, this time shifting the focus to the next generation as Greg faces a new family challenge after his son decides to get married.
The return of the franchise’s central characters sets the stage for a fresh series of family mishaps and misunderstandings, while Ariana Grande brings a new dimension to the Meet the Parents universe. Grande portrays Olivia Jones, a former FBI hostage negotiator.
Olivia Jones becomes romantically involved with Henry Focker, the son of Greg and Pam. As Henry moves closer to making the decision to get married, both families find themselves caught up in a new series of comedic situations. The story consequently shifts its focus to Greg and Pam’s children, giving the franchise an opportunity to explore its signature family dynamics from the perspective of a new generation.
Alongside Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, and Ariana Grande, the cast of Focker-In-Law includes Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, Skyler Gisondo, Beanie Feldstein, and Eduardo Franco.
John Hamburg serves as the film’s writer and director, having previously co-written the franchise’s first three installments. Paramount Pictures will handle the film’s international distribution, while Four Stars will distribute it in Egypt.
