Dubai Fashion Week returns this month with its Spring/Summer 2027 edition. It runs from October 22 to 26 at Dubai Design District, known as d3. The five-day program combines runway shows, presentations and industry meetings. However, the designer line-up and show schedule had not been published when we checked. Even so, the format already points to a more business-focused chapter.
Dates, Venue and Organisers
Dubai Design District and the Arab Fashion Council co-founded the event. The district is part of TECOM Group. Organisers describe it as the city’s official fashion week. In addition, they say it is the only Dubai platform recognised on the international calendar alongside New York, London, Milan and Paris. The SS27 edition returns to d3, which has become home to many regional fashion, art and design businesses.
A Calendar Shift With a Purpose
This year’s timing is different. Dubai Fashion Week moved from its usual September slot to late October. According to Dubai Chronicle, the change lines up with the buying calendar that international brands and buyers follow. As a result, the week offers buyers a regional stop as they plan the season.
A Program for Buyers and Press
Commerce sits at the centre of the plan. The program includes a dedicated Buyers Program. It offers showroom appointments, collection previews and chances for commercial partnerships. Buyers and members of the press also have dedicated registration routes. Therefore, the week suits both industry professionals and fashion media.
Meanwhile, runway shows still matter. Organisers promise a curated program that showcases regional creativity and champions emerging designers. They also say established and international names will feature. Notably, the selection is not based on nationality.
How Designers Get In

How Designers Get In
Designers apply through the official website. A selection committee reviews each application. The aim is a line-up that reflects the changing fashion landscape across the region. Dubai Fashion Week’s own site adds that a jury of international fashion experts votes on the official calendar each season.
From Arab Fashion Week to Dubai Fashion Week
The event has a history. It began as Arab Fashion Week and ran for seven years and 21 seasons. Then, on February 7, 2023, Dubai Design District and the Arab Fashion Council announced its relaunch as Dubai Fashion Week. Since then, the platform has opened its calendar to designers from around the world.
The previous edition, for Autumn/Winter 2026/27, ran from February 1 to 6, 2026. Therefore, the October show marks the second edition of the year.

What to Watch
Several questions remain open. Which Arab designers will show? Will international labels join the calendar? And which emerging names will earn a slot? Organisers have kept the line-up under wraps so far. Nevertheless, expect the program to emphasise commercial strength as much as spectacle.
In addition, the timing sets up a busy design season in Dubai. Dubai Design Week returns to d3 in early November. For visitors, the two events together make d3 a strong destination.
Planning Your Visit
Dubai Fashion Week is an industry event, so access depends on accreditation and show invitations. Buyers and press can register through the official website. Timings and access can differ across individual shows. Finally, check the website for the full calendar once it is published.
