Riyadh is preparing for its biggest entertainment stretch of the year. Riyadh Season 2026 opens on Wednesday, October 21, and runs for ten weeks. It is the seventh edition and returns under the slogan “Big Time.” Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, announced the date in a promotional video. Together, sport, music, comedy and culture will fill the Saudi capital.
A Tennis Showdown on Opening Day

The season opens with the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament. It runs from October 21 to 24 at the ANB Arena. Six of the world’s top players will compete: Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alex De Minaur and Taylor Fritz. Moreover, the event will stream live on Netflix. Therefore, fans can follow the action from anywhere.
Fight Nights and Big Events

Combat sports return in force. The programme includes major boxing and wrestling events, along with UFC fights. Canelo Alvarez vs Christian Mbilli is one of the most anticipated fights. In addition, WWE Crown Jewel on November 7 at the Riyadh Season Stadium in KAFD. Dates and cards for other events are still to be announced. For culture lovers, the Ana Arabia exhibition runs at VIA Riyadh.
A Cultural Twist in November
November brings something different. The Ethnosport Cultural Festival will let visitors discover traditional sports from different countries. As a result, spectators can watch competitions rarely seen on the city’s sports calendar. Overall, the festival adds a cultural layer to a season known for blockbuster events.
More Sport Before the Year Ends
Riyadh also hosts the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games from December 11 to 21. The Games take place at Boulevard City. More than 4,500 athletes from 45 countries will compete across 18 sports. These range from boxing and basketball to chess and billiards. Thus, the capital’s winter calendar stays busy well beyond the season’s opening weeks.
Fashion Arrives First

Fashion fans have a reason to visit even earlier. Riyadh Fashion Week runs from October 15 to 20, just before the season opens. Its fourth edition is organised by the Fashion Commission. The full designer lineup has not yet been announced. Still, the timing makes October a strong month for Riyadh visitors.
