The 81st Golden Globe Awards ceremony was a night of triumph and celebration, sending “Oppenheimer” and “Succession”, home with several awards. The event was held on January 7th, 2024 at the Beverly Hilton, California, and hosted by comedian Jo Koy.

Oppenheimer, which grossed over 950 million U.S. dollars worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of Christopher Nolan's career and the third-highest-grossing film of 2023

When it comes to television, the final season of HBO’s perennial awards player “Succession” dominated among dramatic projects, winning several acting awards (Sarah Snook, Matthew Macfadyen, Kieran Culkin) as well as Best Television Series. While “The Bear”, took the best television series (musical or comedy). “Beef” snatched the award for best-limited series, anthology series, or motion picture made for television.

The ceremony also featured the debut of two new categories: “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” in which “Barbie” took home the prize, and “Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television” which was won by Ricky Gervais “Ricky Gervais: Armageddon” and that sums up the full list of winners of the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards 2024.
