“Succession” dominated the drama categories with 7 awards out of 27 nominations at the Emmy Awards 2024
The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were held on Monday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, honoring the best in television. The ceremony, hosted by Anthony Anderson, was broadcast live on Fox, after being postponed from September 2023 due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.
The night was full of surprises, shocks, and laughs, as well as some memorable speeches and red-carpet moments.
“Succession” won the award for Outstanding Drama Series. Outstanding comedy series went to “The Bear,” and “Beef” was honored with the award for outstanding limited or anthology series.

“Succession” Grabbed multiple Awards in succession:
The HBO series “Succession”, which chronicles the power struggles and family drama of a media mogul and his children, swept the drama categories, winning seven awards out of its 27 nominations. The show won Outstanding Drama Series, as well as Outstanding Lead Actor for Jeremy Strong, Outstanding Lead Actress for Sarah Snook, Outstanding Supporting Actor for Alexander Skarsgård, Outstanding Supporting Actress for J. Smith-Cameron, Outstanding Writing for Jesse Armstrong, and Outstanding Directing for Mark Mylod.

“The Bear” dipped in loads of comedy honors:
The Bear, a Fox series that stars Jeremy Allen White as an award-winning chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to manage the chaotic kitchen at his deceased brother’s sandwich shop, won six awards at the Emmy Awards 2024, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor for Jeremy Allen White, Outstanding Supporting Actor for Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and outstanding writing for Nick Hornby. The Bear was also praised for its originality, heart, and humor, as well as its impressive special visual effects.
