Dubai Honors 223 Educators with Golden Visas
In a significant move to recognize and retain top talent in its education sector, Dubai has granted long-term Golden Visas to 223 outstanding educators. The initiative, directed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, targets teachers, university faculty, and early childhood professionals who have made exceptional contributions to learning and society.
The awards come from a highly competitive pool of 435 applications in this first selection round, representing a 51% success rate. The visas provide recipients with a decade-long residency in the UAE, underscoring the value placed on educational excellence.
Merit-Based Selection Highlights Educational Excellence
The selection process focused purely on professional merit and impact.
Evaluators reviewed each candidate’s qualifications, achievements, and contributions to education and the wider community. A key part of the process included collecting feedback from students and parents, ensuring every voice was heard.
To guarantee fairness, the committee excluded all demographic factors—such as nationality, gender, or years of experience. Instead, the focus was on impact and innovation.
Special recognition went to educators who had won national or international awards, published research, or made a lasting difference in their communities.
Among the 223 recipients, 157 came from schools, 60 from universities, and six from early childhood centers.
The honored group included senior leaders, teachers, social workers, and librarians—each contributing uniquely to Dubai’s education landscape.
Golden Visa Program Boosts Dubai’s Education Vision
The Golden Visa initiative is a key part of Dubai’s broader E33 Strategy — a long-term plan designed to empower teachers, attract global talent, and strengthen the emirate’s position as a world-class hub for education.
“Teachers and educators light the way forward. They inspire, guide, and equip our children with the skills to succeed,” said Sheikh Hamdan.
He emphasized that supporting educators is one of the most valuable investments in Dubai’s future.
After the success of the first round, applications for the second phase will open from October 15 to December 15, 2025.
This new round invites another group of dedicated educators from Dubai’s private institutions to secure their long-term future in the emirate.
